How can I find a dog park or dog beach near me?

To make finding dog parks and dog beaches near you super easy EveryDog has mapped all the Council identified places in South East Queensland. All you need to do is pop your suburb, or the suburb you want to visit, into the Explore Page and hit search. Then, we’ll show you all the local dog parks and dog beaches in your choice of map view or list view. You can also filter just for dog beaches by selecting that option on the search criteria page.

How can I find a good dog walk near me?

Dog walks are identified by the EveryDog community and include bush walks, hikes and lovely urban strolls that are a pleasure for four and two legged individuals. However, dog walks are typically on-leash. To find a walk near you put the suburb you want to visit into the Explore Page, select the dog walk filter and we’ll show you all the good dog walks in the local area. As dog walks are identified by the community there aren’t as many identified so please feel free to add your favorite!

What are the top five dog parks in Brisbane?

Brisbane has sooo many dog parks, over 135! But not all dog parks are created equal, so here are my top five dog parks in Brisbane:

#1 Kedron Brook Dog Park, Gordon Park/Toombul

I love this dog park because it is essentially a beautiful stroll along Kedron Brook, with not a fence in sight. The bank is broad so you can keep to yourself if you like and there are plenty of entry points to the Brook so the dogs can go for a dip. All sorts of people and pups come down to the Brook, giving the place a real community feel. And as you can imagine the afternoons and evenings make for a wonderful social time. But can be a bit warm and exposed in summer so be sure to slip, slop, slap.

Note – Because this dog park is so long there are multiple locations included on EveryDog that make up this continuous linear park.

#2 Tuckeroo Dog Park, Nudgee Beach

This is a great place for the dogs because not only is there a huge dog park, there is also a dog beach! And if you come down at low tide the opportunities to explore the beach with your dog are fantastic (but be sure to follow the instructions on the signs and stick to the beach). Tuckeroo Park is a community favourite so you will be sure to see other people out and about enjoying the dog park or the beach at any time of the day.

#3 Powerhouse Dog Park, New Farm

Powerhouse Dog Park is situated on the Brisbane River Boardwalk in the gardens of the Brisbane Powerhouse making it one of the most picturesque dog parks around. Big beautiful trees abound along with lots of tiny apartment dogs (just joking). The dog park is big providing plenty of space for the dogs to frolic together or hang out and sniff around lone wolf style. Good place for the dogs to use up some energy and nose stimulation before heading to the Jan Power Powerhouse Markets on a Saturday or over to New Farm Park for a picnic whenever.

#4 Elanora Dog Park, Wynnum

A huge dog park with everything you could need, dog agility equipment, small dog area, massive shade trees, under cover seating and did I mention it’s huge! Elanora Park is also located next to an interesting boardwalk through the mangroves if you feel like going for a quite stroll on leash with your pooch.

#5 Whites Hill Reserve, Camp Hill

This is a massive dog park with everything you could possibly need. Whites Hill Reserve includes a seperate small dog area, agility equipment plus a huge grassed area for frolicking and fun! Add to that it is nestled in Whites Hill Reserve which is full of bush trails and dog walks to add to the experience.

How do I find a dog café or dog bar to visit after the dog park?

EveryDog makes it easy for you to find a nearby dog café or dog bar. You can use the explore function and just pop in your suburb and search either showing both dog parks and dog cafes or one or the other.

Also, we’ve created some EveryDog Trails which provide a dog friendly itinerary for a great day out with your dog. Typically these trails include a dog park, dog walk, dog café and dog brewery or bar. I love creating these EveryDog Trails as it gives me the perfect excuse to hit the road with the Fox (as if I need an excuse!).
