Ultimate Guide to Dog Cafes

EveryDog is the ultimate guide to dog cafes, dog bars and dog restaurants in Brisbane, from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast and out west to Toowoomba. Happily, more and more cafes and bars are welcoming dogs, but finding dog cafes and dog bars with certainty can be difficult.

How can I find a dog cafe or dog bar near me?

To make finding dog cafes and dog bars near you super easy EveryDog is mapping all the places we can find as well as those identified by the dog loving community. All you need to do is pop your suburb, or the suburb you want to visit, into the Explore Page and hit search. And please feel free to add your favourites!

How do I know if a dog cafe or dog bar is any good?

EveryDog allows the dog loving community to rate, review and post images of the dog cafes and dog bars they visit.  You can see the average rating in the list view or click on one of the search results to see a little more info including the community’s comments, reviews and photos.

What are EveryDogs top five dog cafes?

There are a lot of dog cafes around and we are constantly adding more, last count over 130! But here are my top five dog cafes at the moment:

#1 Snag and Brown, Annerley

It’s hard to go past a dog cafe that includes its own mini dog park! Unfortunately, we haven’t managed to visit Snag and Brown with the Fox but this is a great concept and I can’t wait to see more places like this!

#2 Frenchies Café, Wynnum

Frenchies loves dogs! It’s there in their name, in their mission statement and in all their imagery, they love dogs! Last time we were there every dog got its own mat and bowl and much gushing from staff (or maybe that’s just because of Fox’s sparkling personality). And there are plenty of dog treats options available, truly a dog café. If they could, I know they would have a dog park too.

#3 Little Tree, Samford

When the response to my question, “where can we sit with our dog”, was “anywhere except the kitchen” I knew Little Tree was our type of place! Brought to you by the founders of Samford’s Flying Nun, Little Tree is a fantastic new place for dogs and humans alike. We’re excited for when they progress to stage two – opening in the evenings for dinner, drinks and music!

#4 Farmhouse Kedron, Kedron

A massive deck suitable for fur-families to enjoy coupled with delicious and interesting food makes Farmhouse Kedron well worth a visit! Dog bowls a plenty and welcoming staff mean that you and your pooch will feel very comfortable. Particularly when enjoying one of their amazing cake creations.

#5 The Velo Project, Buderim

With a large dog friendly courtyard out the back (with separate entrance) and footpath dining out the front The Velo Project provides plenty of dog friendly options. This dog cafe is a favorite of the northern fur fraternity because of the seating options, great coffee and delicious food.

How do I find a dog park or dog walk to visit after the dog cafe?

EveryDog makes it easy for you to find a nearby dog park or dog walk. Visit the Explore Page, pop in your suburb and search either showing both dog parks and dog cafes or one or the other.

Also, we’re creating EveryDog Trails which provide a dog friendly itinerary for a great day out with your dog. Typically, these trails include a dog park, dog walk, dog café and dog brewery or bar. I love creating these EveryDog Trails as it gives me the perfect excuse to hit the road with the Fox (as if I need an excuse!).
